Customization & Design

What’s the difference between custom and semi-custom?

A semi-custom design is one of my existing collections, which you can personalize with your own wording, colors, and finishing touches (like ribbons, wax seals, or liners). It’s perfect if you love one of my designs but want to make it yours.

A custom design is created from scratch, just for you. It can include a watercolor illustration or any other design element that fully reflects your vision. It’s completely one-of-a-kind!

Do you create matching stationery for the wedding day?

Yes! I offer menus, place cards, signage, vow books, and more — all designed to complement your invitations beautifully.

Can you illustrate our wedding venue?

Yes, venue illustrations are one of my favorites! I can create a watercolor or line-art drawing of your venue, or even highlight a special detail that you love.

Process & Timeline

When should we order our invitations?

I recommend booking your invitations about 4-6 months before your wedding for semi-custom, or 6–8 months before your wedding for a bespoke design. This allows enough time for design, printing, and assembly, and ensures you can send them out at least 3 months before the big day.

How long does the process take?

For semi-custom designs, the process usually takes 3–5 weeks, depending on the complexity and finishing touches you choose. Fully custom designs take a little longer, anywhere between 1-4 months depending on the number of stationery items and the complexity of the design.

Do you offer rush orders?

Yes, rush orders are possible depending on my schedule and the complexity of your design. A rush fee may apply to prioritize your order.

Shipping & Return

Do you ship internationally?

Absolutely! I ship from my studio in Montreal to couples worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times depend on your location and will be confirmed with your quote. You will be responsible for any additional taxes, fees or duties associated to purchasing and shipping to your country.

Are the invitations assembled?

Yes! Everything is ready to use when it arrives. That means ribbons, wax seals, vellum wraps, or envelope addressing are already in place. You simply have to mail them out (or hand them out!) to your guests.

What is the return & refund policy?

All Lily & Colors products are personalised or created to your bespoke specifications and therefore cannot be returned or refunded, unless they arrive damaged or incorrect (as a result of a mistake we have made).
